How to Get On and Mount an Electric Bike

Hey guys, it's Nate from sixthreezero, and today I'm going to show you how to mount an e-bike.

Mounting an e-bike might sound simple, but if it's your first time riding a bike in a while or it's your first time riding an e-bike, these tips might be helpful for you. And today I'm going to be demonstrating on our new EVRYjourney e-bike and I'll just show you a couple of different ways that you can mount the e-bike.

So before mounting your e-bike, you want to make sure that it's off or that you're just aware of the throttle because if you accidentally press it, it can jolt forward and things can get ugly. So the first way I'm going to show you is the easiest and probably safest way to mount your e-bikes, and it's just to swing your leg over the back tire, and with a bike like the EVRYjourney, you'll be able to just sit comfortably on your bike before you pedal, but other e-bikes, if the seat is higher, you might have to just hover over the top tube like this. But I'm just going to start in the seated position, and I'm going to put my pedal in maybe like a 45-degree angle, just so that I can have enough leverage to push forward and make it easier to start. So from here, once you start pedaling, the pedal-assist will kick in and you'll be able to just get going, or you can just hit the throttle from here and take off.

So the second method is a little bit more advanced, but it can be used if you're in a hurry, if you want to just mount smoother, or if you just want to impress your friends. So if you're mounting from the left side, you're going to have your left foot on the left pedal in the down position, and then you're just going to push forward and swing your right leg over the back tire, and from there you can hit the throttle or just pedal and let pedal-assist take over.

Cool. So thanks for watching, and I hope these tips were helpful for you. And if you have any other ways you can get on an e-bike, let us know in the comments, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more tips and tricks. And don't forget, it's your journey, your experience. Enjoy the ride.
