The EvryJourney 500-watt e-bike full tour and demo to show you everything. Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry and today I'm going to show you the EvryJourney Electric Bike 500 watt. This is an awesome e-bike for cruising, commuting, exercise, you name it. Multi-purpose electric bike. All right. The EvryJourney is one of our most popular electric bikes for one reason, in particular, this forward pedaling design. Now, what that means is, that the pedals are moved forward six inches from where they typically are under a seat, which means the seat can be very low to the ground, which is 30 inches, which allows for easy mounting and dismounting for five-foot riders and up. But you can also still get good leg extension, even if you're a taller rider. Because of the pedals being moved forward, you get that extra leg extension with the pedals out in front of you. And you can also see how high up you can get the seat. Now, the cool thing as well is you can sit in an ergonomic riding position. So my back is upright and my arms are relaxed. Now I have the seat a little bit too high for me right now. I'm 5 foot 10 so I lower down a little bit, but you can see I'm comfortable. My head is up. I can look around and safely ride. The other benefit is the step-through frame where you can pull your leg through and mount and dismount easily. Now, I'm going to bring you in for some close-ups and walk you through some of the specifics here on Evryjourney. All right. So just to walk you through everything now, it's a seven-speed derailleur on this e-bike. So you've got your 500-watt motor back here in the hub. You also have a seven-speed derailleur like on a bicycle. Now, this is a bicycle, but it's an e-bike. You shift the gears up here. So it's a twist shifter to shift the speeds of the bike. Right here, you twist. Normally shouldn't do that while you're standing still. And then over here, you have your controls for the e-bike elements. All right, now we have to turn the battery on. I'll show you back here also. Underneath is a switch right here, and we switch that on. And now I can come up here and turn everything on.
And from there, you can see we have a full battery, zero miles per hour because we're not going anywhere, and pedal assist level one. Now, this number right here is the assistance that you get from the motor. You have five levels of assistance, one, two, three, four, and five. Five is the most, one is the least. So when you pedal, that's going to come on and start to assist you. Now, one other thing I want to show you up here is this thumb throttle, this works like a gas pedal. So if you want to press this and not pedal at all, you can do that. So this is a great feature for starting and stopping. Also, if you want to give your legs a break on rides and you can just ease into it, again, it works like a gas pedal in that you give it as much or as little as possible. Okay. Now from there, we have disc brakes. So if you take a look down here, actually, on this side right here, this is the rotor, and these are your calipers, and that's front and rear, so provides good stopping power, ample stopping power uphill, or downhill I should say, and if you hit top speeds of about 22 miles an hour. And you've got the brake calipers up here as well. Now on the tires, sorry, not the brake levers. Now, tires are. The tires are two inches. Two inches wide, so they are not fat tires, but they're not thin tires. This is a good happy medium because they roll smoothly. But they also have some thickness to add balance and also absorb bumps when you're going over curbs. And things like that. It's a great multi-purpose tire. Now, fat tires are becoming popular. Those are great also, but they're going to drain your battery quicker. They're also going to create resistance. So if you want something that's going to roll easier, and not drain the battery as fast, this width of a tire is great. All right, now coming back here to the battery, I'll show you quickly. I've got the keys up here.
So your lock is right here. You put your key in. And then I can pull my battery out. And the battery can be brought inside. You can charge it inside. You can charge it while it's on the bike. Your charging port is right here. And that's where you plug it in to charge. Close that up. And here is your on-off switch to the battery. So if you're not using it, leave it in the off position. And you can slide this back on very easily. Take your key out. Now the battery is locked on there so no one can steal it from you. So really simple, really clean, really easy to ride an electric bike that's super comfortable. I'm going to get on and just give you a quick demo. So let me just actually get on right here. I'll show you. So now when I mount and dismount, if you want to bring the camera over here. I'll come a little closer. I always leave it in the off position. So I don't turn this on. And then when I want to go, I will turn it on. And this is to avoid just the electricity at any point turning on unexpectedly. I'll keep it at zero too. Now, some cool things are to get going. You can use the throttle here. Maybe come over this way. All right, there we go. A good thing to do is when you want to get going, you can use the throttle. It helps you just get the bike in some momentum going like so. So that's a nice feature too. So what I like to do is just push that, get moving, pick your feet up, and then from there you can start pedaling.
Now, normally I'd be wearing my helmet, but since I'm only doing a couple of laps here in the parking lot, I thought it'd be okay. So now when I come to a stop, I like to put this in zero as well. I also say in other videos, that I like to put it into zero as I'm stopping, not just when I'm stopped. So that way the electricity is all turned off. And there's no risk of getting hurt. You can see when this is in zero, I can push the throttle and nothing happens at all. And then dismounting, you just pull your leg through, get off, and turn it off. And there you have it. So that pretty much sums up evryjourney. I also have other videos of me doing more detailed rides on it. We've also got some other reviews from other riders if you want to check out more about it. Great multi-purpose e-bike that also has a lot of colors. One thing I didn't mention is the 500-watt rear hub motor and also the battery is 10.4 amp hours. So you can get up to 50 miles on a single charge. And like I said, 20 miles an hour by just using the throttle or 22 miles in pedal assist.
