Hey, everybody. It's Peter at SixThreeZero. I'm going to show you how to adjust the Shimano Nexus 7-speed. It's super simple, and you don't need any tools. This is a wonderful system, by the way. It has about the same range as a regular seven-speed, but it doesn't have the derailleur and all the extra gears there. It's all inside this hub, so it's very super easy to maintain, will last you for decades, and to adjust it is extremely simple.
All we need to do is, first of all, go ahead and put the gear into fourth, put it into fourth gear. And then what you'll see is you'll see a little yellow line back here, and then you simply need to just adjust the barrel adjuster up at the shifter here. And you can watch the two yellow lines come together. As we twist this, you can twist it one way or the other, and you'll see the inner line moving. When those two lines are lined right up, it's perfectly adjusted, then you can just take it off for a test ride. If for some reason that's still off a little bit, then you can make a further adjustment to make it just right. But, anyway, the bike should arrive perfectly adjusted. If it's not, super easy to take care of, few seconds.
