Can we ride on the sand with this fat tire e-trike? Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. And today I'm going to try this fat tire e-trike out on the sand right here. All right, this is a Simple Step-Thru Fat Tire E-trike with the four-inch wide tires. Also, it's got this really low step-through frame here. We're down in Dana Point Harbor. We're gonna try to ride this out on the sand here and see how it does and take you along with me. Right here we've got some very hard-packed sand, which should be, yeah, absolutely no problem for us. Now this is like sand on top of pavement.
Make a quick loop here. Now once you get into the deeper sand it does get a little more challenging. I've done this before. So we'll see how we do and then I can probably get down to the more of the hard-pack sand by the water. So let's give this a shot. I'm gonna do pedal assist because I think it's gonna be too much for the throttle. All right. Yep. So. All right, so riding on the loose sand is not feasible. I've yet to get on a trike or e-bike where it is feasible when it's this deep of sand. So let's go ahead and wheel down to the hard-packed sand. And see what it does down there. Okay. All right. So soft pack sand, a little bit challenging. Hard pack, no problem at all. It's pretty fun. The only real issue is the slant of the terrain. So if you can find a flatter hard pack, it's kind of fun. I got a little wet and went through the water a little bit. And actually, we could cruise even farther down here. There's a lot of hard-pack sand that we could venture out on. But yeah.
So really cool, if you're looking for an off-road, on-road e-trike, take a look at the simple step-through fat tire e-trike.
