A compact folding electric trike with tons of cargo space. Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today I'm gonna tell you about a compact folding e-trike with tons of cargo space. Right here, we have the Easy Transit 750-watt front hub motor electric tricycle, this thing is really cool. Now, this is a folding electric trike, the frame folds in half and the handlebars fold down. It's a 750-watt front hub motor, powerful enough to power riders up to 350 pounds around town and up hills. The battery can get you up to 50 miles on a single charge, depending on the weight of the rider, the terrain you're riding, and then how you use the pedal assist levels or the throttle. So this has five levels of pedal assist. So when you pedal, you can either get one level of assistance or up to five. One gives you the least, five gives you the most, or it comes with a push throttle with your thumb that you can press and go without pedaling at all. So that's really cool as well. If you just want to zoom around town, turn this into your personal mobility device, you can do that without pedaling.
The other cool thing is you can just take a break from pedaling by utilizing the throttle as well. Now, if you don't want to use the electric, it has seven speeds like on a normal bicycle, that's a really unique feature on this trike. A lot of the electric trikes are single speeds. So you've got seven speeds, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. One is the easiest to pedal, seven is the hardest. So when you're climbing hills, you can put it into one, and when you're on flat ground and want to hit top speeds, you can shift it into gear seven. Now, the gears are not correlated with the electronics, they work hand in hand, so if you have it in the highest level of pedal assist, you typically want to have it in the highest gear as well, but you can use the gears without using the electric motor. Now, the cool thing about this is how much cargo space you get on this electric trike. It comes standard with this rear basket, put your doggy, your cat, or whatever other pet you have that can fit.
Probably up to about a 15-pound dog will be good there, or you could opt to put them in the front basket as well. Supportive with the bracket mounted down to the fork and then the headset mounted here as well. So that's a unique feature with these front and rear baskets and also this latching closure here. If you don't wanna put a dog in, you can latch on your goods and you could lock that too if you needed to as well. You've got the fenders in the rear also to add a nice look and also protect from water. Don't forget about the front suspension fork up right from, which is going to absorb a lot of bumps as you go over the road and it goes up and down as you go up and down, you can see it moving up and down there. So that helps to create the suspension. Also, you've got this double adjustable seat post so it can accommodate a wide variety of heights in the lowest position you can get riders on here as short as 4’11. Again, visit the product page to find all the details on it so you can see everything on there as well. The handlebars are also adjustable up and down to accommodate different rider heights, and that's really nice. Now, another cool feature is you have a reverse function on this trike as well. So you can shift into reverse and there you go. and then you can quickly go back to drive. So if you do need to reverse out of a tight space, pull into a parking spot, you name it, you can do that, front headlight there, which is controlled from your controls up here. Great for night riding or dusk or early morning rides as well. Turn that on and off as you need it, and what else can I tell you? Front and rear disc brakes as well for optimal, powerful stopping power.
The cool thing, as I said, is how it folds up, so with all the accouterments on here, about 78 pounds, but that's inclusive of the baskets, the fenders, and the battery, take all that off and now you can reduce the weight down to 60 pounds. So if you're gonna be transporting a lot, maybe you don't wanna leave the baskets on, makes it easier as you fold it up to transport it, or if you have a rack, you can wheel it fully assembled. That's a good idea as well, the baskets are the benefit of this e-trike, but if you like to fold it up, having the baskets on does make it more challenging to get it into a tighter space by leaving those on all folded up, so that's the give and the take of the folding option, and you have to decide what's most important to you. Also, parking breaks right from, so it won't roll away on you, you can park it on a hill or wherever else and it won't move unless you release those, releasing them is simple. Pull the lever and the parking brake pops out. So, easy peasy. Now, if you want to see more details, more rides, and more info on Easy Transit, We have tens, 20, maybe 40, 50 videos on this particular trike. It's really cool.
