Fat Tire Electric Trike That Can Off Road! Oh, and Carry Passengers! E Rickshaw for Paved & Trails

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I've nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today I'm gonna show you a three-wheel electric bike that you can take off-road. All right, so I have the sixthreezero e-trike Rickshaw with the passenger seat on the back. This is a very, very powerful electric trike. Now, one thing I wanna point out as well, the seat is completely removable, and we will have a basket as an option that you can put back here if you don't want to ride with the seat. So it's going to allow you to carry things with you. If you want to do some other riding you don't want the seat on there, you can always take it off. But you're not going to feel much difference by leaving it on there or taking it off.

You don't need to take it off to go off-roading or on-roading. I'm going to take us up this dirt trail today. Now the beauty of this e-trike is the fat tires, four-inch wide tires, 20-inch in the rear, and 24-inch in the front. What's cool about that is setting it lower in the rear so the passengers sit a little bit lower, making it safe for the riders. And then you got the bigger front wheel. This thing is very powerful. It's a 750-watt front hub motor e-trike here. And I just wanna demonstrate to you how easily this will handle these big hills, get you around so you can off-road, do whatever you want, take passengers. This is a very, very versatile three-wheel electric bike. I'm 220 pounds. I don't know if you can see the hill up there. I'm going to show you how this performs with me as the driver. Now, passengers up a hill like this on a dirt trail, it's going to be a little bit more challenging. You could do it, but you're going to probably have to be, well, you're not probably, you're going to have to be in a pedal assist level five and it requires a little bit of work. You're not going to bring passengers up this type of hill, with the motor alone you're gonna have to exert some energy, use the pedal assist, because again, that's a big hill so I'm gonna go ahead and get on here and demonstrate to you.

Now, again, with these four-inch tires, they're super versatile. You can take them on the trails. You can go on the pavement, you name it. Are we ready? All right, let's go ahead and do this. Now I'm going to downshift just a little bit. There we go. Alright, and we're off and running. Now this is a pretty bumpy trail here, you can see. And we're still doing it. And pretty steep. Now it's hard to demonstrate... Let me go ahead and go around that little rock area. How steep and bumpy this is. There we go. Now we're cooking. And once we get to the top here, we'll go ahead and look down so you guys can see what it looks like. So I'm in pedal assist level five. And we're up. Now what's crazy is... I'm going to turn around over here. Now if you can go ahead and shoot back down there, you can see where we came from. It's a little bit hard because of all the rain here in California, we got a lot of... A lot of growth. Let's see, so. Check this out. We'll do a little off-roading through here. We're deep in the shrubs here, I'm gonna show you. I'm just gonna use the throttle. And you can see I can power right through all this stuff. All right, we're going to show you just a little bit more how we can take down the shrubbery here. You can see it's no match for these four-inch tires.

Just bulldozing down trees and shrubs. And here we come. Yep. Oh, we're stuck. We're going, we're going. I wouldn't recommend this, but you can do it. And we're out. So this thing's powerful. All right, let's mount up and we'll take on one other hill. If you can look up there to the top, we'll go ahead and ride to the top of that too. So come along. All right, now we're gonna go all the way to the top of that hill up there. Again, I'm 220 pounds, so you can come with us on the ride on the trail here. We're going to make it to the top. Show them the top. Yep. All right, here we go. Let's make sure the seatbelt's not flopping around. Oh, there we go. All right, I'll just use the throttle through this. Once we get a little steeper, I'll need to... Start using pedal assist. I got it in first gear right now for when I do start pedaling. All right, right about now. And you can see we're on a slope right here. Just got to lean a little bit to the right. Not too bad. All right. Having the 20-inch in the rear helps to keep... the weight down. We are making it people. Go ahead and stop here for a second. All right, we did it. So on steep, steep hills, definitely gonna be a little bit of a challenge, but we made it. I think the trickiest part is just steering on the unbalanced trail.

So we'll ride a little farther down right here. And then we'll come back and make a turn and go back down the hill. All right, so we did it. We took the three-wheel electric bike with a passenger seat. We went off-road. This thing is powerful. Now, navigating trails at angles like that, that is an advanced rider type of activity, but wanted to prove to you how much power this has in it and the fact that you can use this as a trike to go off-road. You can ride it through heavy grass. You can ride it through shrubbery like I did there. So if you want to check this out, go to our website, sixthreezero.com, bike rickshaw.
