How much does the battery weigh? Well, we have two batteries. One for the 500 watts and one for the 50 watts. Let's check it out. I can turn the key here and pull this battery out. Here it is. They both look the same, regardless of whether it's the 500 watts or the 250. Now, just to cut to the chase the 500-watt battery is about seven and three-quarters pounds. The 250-watt battery is about a little bit less than three and a half, five and a half pounds. A little bit less than five and a half pounds.

Why does it weigh what it does? Well, inside of each of these is a pack of 18, 650 cells. The same cells you find in electric cars and pretty much all e-bikes. Tesla uses these in the Model 6, or at least they did. And in the 500 watts, there are 52 of those cells, and in the 250 watts, there are 40. So anyway, seven and three quarters, a little bit less than five and a half.
