Today, we are going to find out how much weight can an electric tricycle carry. And we are going to do it on the Sixthreezero EvryJourney electric trike. We are going to pile on the people, literally, and show you how much weight can this electric trike carry just with the throttle. Throttle only.
So let me introduce you to the riders that we're going to have to get on the electric trike today so we can see how much it can carry. First, we have Drew coming in at 215 pounds and I forgot myself, 215 pounds. Together, 430 pounds. Followed by Taylor at 150 pounds. Bringing our total up to 430 plus 150... 610. Then Alana comes in next at 115 pounds. Now we are at 610. 725 pounds. Finally, Nate is going to jump on, our cameraman, coming in at 150 pounds, taking the grand total to let's review this: 150 plus 115, 265, plus 150 takes us to 415, plus 215, takes us to 630, plus another 215 takes us to 845 pounds. We are piling on this electric trike. Watch us.
Okay. I'm the first rider up. I'm 215. This is like a cakewalk for this thing. Oh, I'm only in level one. There we go. No problem.
Okay, here we go. Now we're going to add Drew. We're going to take this baby up to 430 pounds.
Here we go.
You ready?
Yep.
No problem. No problemo. Let's push this weight up.
All right. Let's push it up even further. So now we are adding another 150. That's going to take our grand total to 580. So 430? Yes. Okay.
Oh, sorry.
Always wear your helmet.
You got it?
Are we ready?
You can step on my feet.
Okay, I'm better.
Here we go. And we're off! 580, still moving.
Okay, here we are. We're going to add some weight. We're going to take the grand total to 430 plus 150. 580. We're at 695 now. Everyone loads up.
Okay.
We ready?
Yeah. I'm ready.
We are off. We are off. We are moving.
I'm
We did it.
Okay. Now we are about to add an additional 150, which is going to take our grand total to 695. 845 pounds being pulled by a 250-watt, front hub, electric trike motor the Sixthreezero EvryJourney. Okay. Let's load up. Don't try this at home. This is purely for demonstration purposes only. Are we ready?
Yep.
Yep.
Is Alana on?
She's on.
Not too fast.
We are moving.
Trying to.
We're doing it!
All right, well, there you have it. On the Sixthreezero electric tricycle, we just pulled 845 pounds, with throttle only. Now we weren't moving fast. It is flat ground and it took a little bit to get it going once we had the last rider piled on, and this is obviously just for demonstration purposes. But it is to show that this motor is capable of towing or bringing 845 pounds. Now, obviously, I would recommend if you're going to put that much weight, you want to distribute it in a much better manner. But you could definitely have a rider 3, 4, 500 pounds, and the motor's going to be sufficient. Now for flat ground riding only, getting up hills, major hills, is going to be another issue the more weight you add. But if you're looking to tow a lot of stuff, you're primarily flat ground, small Hills, this motor is surprisingly more powerful than I think a lot of people would believe.
