E-Bikes & Bikes Customised to You
Hey everyone, Sixthreezero customers and everyone else alike, this is Peter at Sixthreezero eBikes & Bikes. Why are e-bikes so awesome and why should you get one?
Okay, so I have a lot of things that I love in life and I'm sure that you do too, and one of them is bicycles and now e-bikes. And why I'm talking about this is that the funny thing that I think that a lot of people haven't talked about much but are starting to talk about a lot more is that life is hard, man, you know? Like there are so many wonderful things about life and so many grand things, but each day can bring you all sorts of things, stress, anxiety, or difficult circumstances.
Especially over the past couple of years, we've seen a lot of global issues and things that can cause stress, and it's just a day to day life thing, trying to do your work and help your children or whatever your life situation may be, you may have a health problem that's kind of coming up on you or sometimes there are emotional issues or psychological difficulties. We all experienced it, it's just how life is and on social media, we see the pretty side of everybody, and the best side of everybody, which is cool, that there's that, and I love that people are celebrating the good things in life in that way. But it also sometimes I think masks that we all, every one of us, me, you, I know it, all have something going on, and for everybody, it's different. It doesn't matter how pretty or beautiful someone's life is, they're getting kicked in the teeth somewhere at sometime. A loss of a loved one, financial difficulties, health issues, all of that.
So that's one of the things we're here on Earth doing is learning how to move through life the best we can, live our best life, become better people, and learn from those challenges. Anyway, bikes have helped me a lot with that. I used to ride my bike, I used to ride it for so long and what I loved about it so much was one of the best things of course is just having your body move. Getting your body moving is one of the absolute best things you can do for every aspect of your existence. For your own health, obviously, that's the first one, but I'm talking about for your physical health, but also for your emotional health, for your psychological health. For the health of your relationships, for the way that you approach life, for your outlook on things.
When you're riding on a bicycle, first of all, the motion, there are people like Tony Robbins and others but he didn't originate this idea. This was thought of a long time ago is that emotion follows motion, and it's true. If you start acting in ways that are better, you're going to start feeling better. If you start going out and jogging, those stress hormones and things are going to start going into that exercise and getting dissipated. I'm not an expert in this stuff, but this is just stuff that I think that we all kind of understand generally, that you get out there to exercise, life is going to improve. And it's not just going to improve your health but it's going to improve everything else in your life. So maybe you haven't exercised in a while. Maybe you haven't gotten out, maybe you're feeling a little bit of status quo and inertia and it's just time to get out there and start moving.
Believe me, there's just nothing better, and especially when you start to build up a habit of it. And getting out there and having the fresh air, a lot of people love riding their bike inside or whatever, that's great too. That is motion, that's exercising, but getting out there, the sunshine on your skin, the fresh air, seeing new scenery, noticing things. You also tend to be more present, which is just ... It's just what makes everything else just kind of melt away which is what it should because a lot of these problems really aren't as big as we make them, and we start to put them back into the right perspective. Or maybe we realize that we need to make a few different choices.
But I think that making those choices begins with a choice like getting on a bike. Whether it's one of our e-bikes or a road bike or a mountain bike, I think that getting on a bike is one of the easiest and best things you can do, especially with an e-bike. It's gentle on the body, it's in my opinion way more fun than jogging, I don't like jogging. Honestly, I love exercising, but the e-bike is gentle and it's a good way to get started going. Maybe you have knee problems or back problems. Of course, swimming is easy on you, that's a low-impact exercise, but you know, sometimes people also find that kind of boring. Sorry if you're a swimmer but it's not as ... You are in one environment. With a bike, and especially an e-bike, you can range all over the place. If you have some beautiful areas nearby, you can even take your bike to say a more lovely place or the beach and just cruise along, enjoy the waves, enjoy the mountains, enjoy the trees. Breathe in some fresh air. All this stuff will improve your life. In the meantime, you're also doing the exercise, it's gentle on your knees, and it's easy on your back if you get an upright seating position like this.
It may take a little adjusting to. Usually, it takes maybe a week or two on a bike to start to kind of like get used to the comfort of it and you may even have to change your seat or something like that or the position of your handlebars. Make yourself comfortable, and figure out what works for you and what doesn't. But your body feeling those things is making those adjustments, and your life is starting to improve. Things are getting better. After a great workout, you feel sore. I love that feeling because then I know that I've done something.
So anyway, I think that a bike, an e-bike is just ... It's just one of the best ways in the absolute, one of the absolute best ways in the world to just take your life back, take it back, make that decision to say, "No, we're not going on this downward spiral. We're going to stop it right here and we're going to improve right here today. We're going to get an e-bike and ride a couple of miles. Feel the wind in our hair, feel the sunshine on our face, on our arms and see some new things and just think about the flow of the scenery going by us." Anyway, that's my take on it. I just wanted to say I think that one of the best things about getting a bike, it's not the bike. It's not the bike. It's everything else that goes along with it. Better physical health, better emotional well-being, and better well-being overall. You're going to find your relationships improve, your thinking is clearer, et cetera, et cetera. I could go on and on. I love bikes, and that's one reason why I work for a bike company. I love e-bikes because it gets more people on bikes who wouldn't normally ride bikes and it makes all of us more bike aware and understand the benefits and also how to share the road. It's all better.
So anyway, I hope that whatever you're going through is getting better. I know that it will. Hop on a bike, whether it's one of ours or you got to borrow one from a friend, just do it. Get your body moving. You will get a smile on your face sooner or later, I promise you. All right, Peter at Sixthreezero signing out.
