Hey, everyone. I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today, I'm going to show you a hybrid e-bike under $1000. Stick around.

Today, I'm going to show you a hybrid e-bike for under $1000, but before I do, hit the subscribe button below. Stay in touch with us here at sixthreezero. Be the first to know about all the new content we're doing, giveaways we do, and, of course, new product releases.

All right. Hybrid e-bikes are awesome because they are just what they are named hybrids. You can do off-road, you can do on-road. They have so much versatility. Now, finding something that's an awesome value under $1000 can be challenging because you want quality, but you also want it to have that inexpensive price tag. Behind me, I have the sixthreezero Paven'Trail hybrid e-bike, which you can find in the description of this product, find the link to this product in the description and on the website at sixthirtyzero.com.

Now, the Paven'Trail e-bike also comes in a navy color and a matte black color. The cool thing about this is it's great if you want to ride on some hardpack trails or you want to ride on the road, and I'll show you the features why. Right now, on sixthreezero.com, you can get this for $999, just under a thousand bucks. The first thing I'm going to point out that makes this cool is this shock fork, which can either be locked out, meaning the suspension does not move up and down. If you're going to ride on pavement, you want to lock it out like this because it's going to roll real easy and real smooth. But if you unlock it, now the fork can move up and down so it's going to absorb the bumps of curbs or, if you're off-roading, it's going to absorb potholes, divots, and the bumps you would experience on an off-road ride as well, whether that's gravel or other places.

Now, the other cool thing is you have these 1.75-inch tires. These are going to roll nice and smooth on pavement but, again, can still withstand hardpack trails, nature preserves, and things like that that you could ride and you'll have that front suspension as well. Again, it's that hybrid. You've got the features of so many different bikes. You've got the thinner tires like road bikes, and you've got the suspension like a mountain bike, so it's a great, great way if you want to do that off-road and pavement riding.

Now, as we move up here, you've got the straight bars. On this type of e-bike, you're not going to be in a perfect upright riding position. You're going to have a little bit of a lean forward but not much, you can see. You've got the handlebars here which can turn on a dime and give you that real ability to have control at higher speeds.

With these thinner tires, you're going to be able to roll much faster if you're using the pedal assist. Now, you've got the 500-watt rear hub motor and you've got the five levels of pedal assist. You can hit 28 miles an hour in pedal assist or 20 miles an hour using this thumb throttle right here, which you engage simply by moving the throttle back and forth with your thumb.

The cool thing about these thinner tires, you're not going to have that drag on the pavement. That's why, if you're using pedal assist, it's going to allow you to hit those top speeds closer to that 28-mile-an-hour cap. If you have fat tires like those four-inch fat tires and you're using them on pavement and off-road when you switch back to the pavement, it's going to create more drag, which is going to drain your battery more and it's going to be harder to pedal in the pedal assist, and you're not going to be able to get to those 28 mile an hour pedal assist levels. With the thinner tires, there's less drag and it's easier to pedal.

Now, the other benefit is if you have a seven-speed derailleur like on a normal bicycle. If you want to ride this like a normal bike without the motor turned on, again, with those thin tires, that's going to roll smoothly. In addition to that, you can pull the battery out, reduce the weight of the bike by eight pounds and ride it like a normal bike with that seven-speed derailleur.

Also, with the seven speeds and the motor, going up hills is going to be super, super easy. The thin tires won't have much drag going uphill. It's going to be easy to pedal, with not much resistance. If you have some hilly areas and you want to do a little off-road, come back to the pavement, again, this is a great option. It's going to roll smoothly. If you're going up big hills, put it in level five on the pedal assist, and shift down into level one for the gears. It's going to be easy to pedal and it'll get you up hills.

Now, let's talk about range. We're looking at anywhere from 20 to 50 miles of range depending on the weight of the rider. Also, depending on what level of pedal assist you use and how often you use the throttle, that's going to dictate the range you're going to get. The more you use the pedal assist, the longer range you're going to use, the more you use the throttle, it's going to decrease the range. Also, on the pedal assist levels, if you stay in one or two as an assistance level, you're going to get upwards of those 50 miles of range. Also, hills will drain the battery a little bit quicker as well so it depends on the terrain that you're going to be riding in and also like I said, the weight of the rider.

Now, you've also got front and rear disc brakes that can stop on a dime. You can see right here I've got the brake engaged. Can pick the bike up. That's a great feature if you're going downhill or through some trials and things like that and you need to hit the brakes hard and come to a stop very quickly. You've got your screen up here right in the middle to easily see your miles per hour, your battery range left and also the distance traveled. You've got your pedal assist changing right here and your thumb throttle here as well.

The other cool thing is this is a nice-looking bike in my opinion. You've got the brown accents, something different than a lot of the black and white e-bikes out there. Again, we have three colorways for this, the navy and also the matte black as well. If you do like black, we have that. But something different than a lot of the designs that are out there, and the other cool thing that I like is it looks like a normal bicycle. If you're looking for something that's going to blend in, you also want to ride it like a normal bike, this is great. It looks like a normal bike and rides like a normal bike, but you also have that electric assistance to really, really help you.

You can check out this Paven'Trail on the sixthreezero website right now. It's also linked in the description below.
