E-Bikes & Bikes Customised to You
We've got the Simple Step Through Fat Tire Electric Bicycle. We're gonna show you the sizing and fitting of different rider heights.
Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today we're gonna show you the fitting and sizing of the Simple Step Through Fat Tire Electric Tricycle, and how riders 4'11 to 6'4 can fit on this. Now, we don't have a 411 rider here, but I'm going to show you, as an example with Lisa, how we can lower it more to accommodate a shorter rider. Lisa's 5'4 Jeff's 6'4 I'm 5'10. We're going to show you how customizable and adjustable this electro trike is to different heights. All right, so we're going to start with Jeff, who's 6'4 and we are going to raise the seat. You can see in the seat here, that you got a lot of travel, and there's a hash mark there. So let's go ahead and do that and go ahead and get on there, Jeff. And let's see, I don't know, maybe that's too tall, maybe not. Looks pretty high. Oh yeah, I left those loose. It's a little, let's go down like a little bit. Good news. So it means we can accommodate probably up to six foot six. Okay, try that. Oh yeah. Better? And let's get this other pedal, that right pedal in the down position.
Yep. Good leg extension for Jeff. Now, the bars look maybe, do you like them there or are they too low? I think maybe like that. Tilt them up at all or not? Here, let's just try. I'm going to loosen these so Jeff can play a little more. Okay, go ahead. We can also... Oh, yeah. Yeah, right there. So we've got the three adjustment points here. There are two bolts here. The raising and the lowering and the tilting so now I gotta tighten this bolt here okay and then we come down here and tighten this don't move. Okay perfect. So now we lock that one in and let's just make sure our height is all good. Okay, and then we'll tighten these right here. Okay, cool. So yeah, bars are right into Jeff's body, good leg extension. We've got the stem up as high as it can go, and he looks comfortable. So he'll take a quick... Test ride around the parking lot and just show you how it works the beauty of these fat tires is just the absolute stability. Comfortable? Yeah, very confident all right, we got it dialed into Jeff at six-four let's take a look at Lisa at five foot four all right now we've got Lisa at five foot four so we'll go ahead and drop the seat post down this may be too low for you, but let's go ahead and see. See what that does for you.
How's the leg extension? Pretty good. Cool. All right, so we got the seat all the way down for her. It's a good fit. Let's probably lower these a little bit. Okay. Here we have it. So she's in a good ergonomic upright position. Mounting and dismounting. You should still get your feet on the ground too, right? Yep. Okay. Perfect. So let's go ahead and see Lisa take a quick jaunt. All right, got it sized well for Lisa. All right, now I'm going to adjust for myself at 5'10". Right about it is good. Let me see the handlebars. Okay, so I want to tilt them up a little bit. My seat's moving here. Let's make sure you get this tight. Okay. There we go. That'll be great. Okay. Oh, yep. Nice and comfortable for me. Bars into my body. Go ahead and put this in. I'm going to use a little throttle. Yep. Feels good. I'll do a little pedaling. Why not? Take it down. Show you some of the maneuverability of this baby. Oh, hit that cone. That's okay though. There we go. All right, so we've sized this for riders 5'4 to 6'4. It can accommodate riders as short as 5'2 or even 5'. For 5', you know, your leg's gonna be extended pretty far in the downstroke, so check your inseam in the lowest position. But 5.2 and up is a sure thing.
