The brand new semi-recumbent e-bike, the relaxed body from sixthreezero.
Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry and today I'm going to show you the new Relaxed Body e-bike from sixthreezero. The semi-recumbent. This is a semi-recumbent e-bike, a very unique style of e-bike that you don't see in a lot of places. The cool piece about it is this forward pedaling design that has the pedals moved forward substantially farther than on any bike. So you can see, here's the down tube which is angled forward, and the pedals are moved forward nine inches. So this means that the rider can be lower to the ground, which is going to create a very low seat height, right? So the seat height, the top of the seat height sits at 27 and a half inches, and the step-over height, let me measure from this side, is 17 inches. So you can easily step through the frame and sitting down is very easy. Now, the seat's a little bit low for me, but the point is to demonstrate for varying height riders or however you like to sit, you can get in a very comfortable position. Now, the other thing I'll say too is on our production model, we're going to have longer ape hanger handlebars. These are a little bit shorter. The actual ones that we're going to make are going to be an extra about nine inches. They're going to come right into your body. And the idea is you can just sit right here and keep your back upright and have a very comfortable riding position like that while you still get proper leg extension. So the cool thing is that two of the cool features are number one, the low step-over height. Number two is the very low seat height. Number three is the sitting position. So you'll still be in that ergonomic position.
You can be low to the ground but still get a nice pedal extension while riding because of the pedals being shifted forward. Now the electronics on this e-bike, you've got a 500-watt rear hub motor. 10.4 amp hour battery, so we're talking about top speeds of 20 miles an hour with just the throttle, 28 miles an hour in pedal assist, and up to 50 miles of range depending on how you use the pedal assist or the throttle. So, you can use pedal assist levels one, two, three, four, and five, or you can just use the throttle, it's totally up to you. We've got 2.125-inch tires on here. These are 26-inch tires, which are still wide enough to give you good balance and absorb shock while you're out riding. And you have front and rear disc brakes for optimal stopping power. So you can also take the battery off, and take it with you to charge. Right now it comes in just this navy color with the brown accents. Like I said, you have your pedal assist right here. And I'll show you a few things, too. Now, keep in mind, that we're going to have longer ape hanger handlebars, but you can adjust up here as well. So the cool thing is, is that this bike can accommodate riders about four foot ten up to about six foot four. And so for taller riders, you can put the bars farther away. You could lock those in here. Like so. And then you could, you know, you need to raise the seat up, obviously.
So let's raise the seat. Okay. And we could raise the seat higher than that, actually, too, if we needed to. So from there, if you have longer arms, you can reach more or you can bring them into you as well. Totally up to you. You can also adjust the handlebars right here. So let me show you. We'll loosen this. Okay. And then you loosen this. And then from there, you can actually bring the handlebars back even more, like so. Okay. And then we would come back in and tighten this. Tighten that. Perfect. And now again, we've brought the handlebars closer to your body and I can come in here and adjust this right here. Bring that up a little bit. That's good for me. Okay. There we go. Okay. All right, so now you can see I don't have to reach, the bars come right into my body. And again, depending on your height, four foot 10 to six foot four, you can adjust these as you see fit. You could tilt them down even more, bring the seat down even more, and bring the bars closer to your body so you can find a comfortable riding position for you. Then up here you've got your power so I can turn it on and I'll just do a quick demo around the parking lot and show you how to ride. I'm not going to wear a helmet because I'm going to keep speeds nice and easy. So you've got five levels of pedal assist. So we go ahead and just do the throttle like so. Okay. And you can see how relaxed of a position this is. The bars come into my body. I get a nice leg extension. Now again, I could probably afford to raise the seat up just a touch, but I'm just kind of showing what this semi-recumbent riding position is like. So it's unique. And then let's just do a little throttle. So, brakes nice, steers nice. And again, if you want something where you can have a lower center of gravity and still be comfortable, this is a really good option. Again, the seat was probably a little low for me, handlebars I could probably move forward a little bit, but you have the opportunity to dial in the position perfectly to what you want.
Now let me go ahead and take a few measurements for you as well. So it's a longer bike. From the front of the tire to the rear of the tire is 74 inches. From axle to axle is 49 inches. I already measured the stepover height, the handlebar grip to the seat is 22, but keep in mind we're gonna have a longer ape hanger handlebar on the production model to bring it closer to the rider. Also, a lot of people want to know with the wheel folded like this, what's the measurement? So if you want to get it inside a truck or something, that is 59 inches. Let's see, let's see. So seat, so the other thing too is we are changing the seat post. So you'll have a longer seat post, but just right now, let's demonstrate the seat can come up pretty high. So in the highest position, you can get the seat post 34 inches. And again, if you're a taller rider, you can always slide the handlebars back to still get the proper leg extension. From the ground to the top of the stem, is 34 inches right there. The top of the rear rack back here is 31 and a half inches. And let's see. Chain guard. It's a longer chain guard. That's 22 inches. and That's it. If there are any other measurements that you're curious about, you can let me know and I'll go ahead and take those for you. And we're gonna do some additional riding videos to show you me taking it up a hill and doing other things with it, show you the comfort of it and how it performs. It's a cool e-bike. Okay, I'm here on the relaxed body and just wanna demonstrate to you how we can get up this hill. and show you, I'm 225 pounds, we have the five levels of pedal assist and a 500-watt rear hub motor. So, I'm just going to do throttle only the first way up, and then I'll show you pedal assist the next time around. So here we go. All right, we made it up the hill with throttle only. Now I'm gonna put it in pedal assist level five. And here we go.
