A small, compact, foldable e-bike that's easy to transport? I've got it right here. Stick around to learn more. Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry and today I'm going to show you a small compact e-bike that's super easy to transport. Now, before I get into it, hit the subscribe button below, stay in touch with us here at sixthreezero, and be the first to know about all the new content I'm putting out, giveaways we do, and of course, new product releases. Now, before I get into it, the Zip and Fold from sixthreezero 750 watts, the e-bike I have right here is linked in the description below. Also, there's going to be a link up in the corner of the video, so follow that to learn more about the Zip and Fold.
Okay, let's say you do a lot of traveling or you live in a location where you drive to do a lot of rides. You drive to the beach or you drive to certain trails and you want to take your e-bike with you. It's going to be great. Either you can have a car rack and put it on the car rack, or you could find something like the Zip and Fold, which is a foldable compact e-bike that can fold up and you can take it in your car with you, and that's exactly what this e-bike is.
You can see how small it is. Now, small, but I'm going to show you adjustable, small, and compact, and the first thing I will show you is how easily this folds up. So, the first thing you can do is fold it up, actually before I get into it. If you want to see a video of me loading this into the back of a hatchback car, go to our YouTube channel. You can check that out. Search, "Hatchback" or "Zip and Fold" and you will see that video I put two of these side by side in a hatchback car.
Now, the first thing you would do is fold the pedal up right here, from there you have a lock right here, and fold this pedal up as well. You have a lock right here, you unlock that, unhinge this, and from there, the bike's just going to fold in half. I'll put my kickstand up, at which point now I just fold it like this and there's a little stand down there, where this is meant to lean on, just like that, and from there we just unlock the handlebars right here. Okay, this comes down like so. Now this is folded up. You can even remove the seat to make this even smaller and lower, at which point it'll be easier. And the seat is quick-release, so that's very easy to put on and off, and from there you can just grab and load it in your car.
The other thing I've seen is people buy ramps to wheel it up to the car. Then they fold it from there and then they load it in and you can see from the front view how small that gets, and if you want the exact measurements, again, check out the other videos. We have the measurements in there.
Now, the other beauty is how easily it unfolds. So, car racks can sometimes even be challenging for e-bikes. You probably will spend less time unfolding this than you would load your bikes onto a car rack. Now, it depends on the car rack, but I've used a lot of car racks in my time, depending on what they are, and how many straps you have, sometimes they can take a little while to load and unload. Now if you have a great one, that's great, by all means, go that route, but sometimes this is folding... The folding e-bikes can be even easier to set up for your rides. Okay, so let me clamp the seat back down and it's quite simple. From here, just lift, okay, ooh, and fold it and put your kickstand down, and let me put my handlebars back up. Clamp those down, now clamp your clamp here, put your lock in place, unfold your pedals and you're off and riding.
So, it folds up very small, is very compact, and is easy to transport. The other benefit though, is a 750-watt rear hub motor mixed with a 15 amp hour battery. So, what does that mean? It means for riders up to 350 pounds, this is going to be enough power to get you up hills, around town, and wherever you need to go. The 750 watts is the maximum size motor you can have on an e-bike for it to be classified as an e-bike in California, and I think many other states as well. So, this is the biggest possible street-legal e-bike motor you can even have. In addition to that, the 15 amp hour battery on a single charge is going to take you up to 50 miles. Now it depends on how much you use the throttle and the pedal assist, which I'll get into here in a second.
But also the weight of the rider has an impact, but you could be looking at getting up to 50 miles per charge or on a single charge with that size battery. Now it comes equipped with a throttle and pedal assist. So, you've got on your handlebars here, your up and down buttons to raise or lower your pedal assist levels. You've got levels one, two, three, four, five. One is the least amount of assistance, five is the most amount of assistance. So, if you're taking on big hills or you're a rider north of 250 pounds, you may want to be more in the three, four, and five levels of pedal assist. If you're doing a lot of flat ground, you can stay in pedal assist level one. You also have a throttle here. Now, you can use this as a twist throttle.
So, if you just want to zip around, not pedal at all, you can twist the throttle, and this thing has a lot of power. You can check it out on our YouTube channel. I've got a video of me out riding this on some hard-pack trails, taking on some hills, and you'll see how powerful and how well this foldable e-bike performs. I'm 225 pounds and again, go check out the video and you'll see how easily this gets me where I need to go throughout the video. The other cool thing is these three-inch wide 20-inch tires, these things can take on hard-pack trails. They can also roll smoothly on the pavement. In addition, it creates a lower step-through height for the frame. So, you can easily step on and off, mount and dismount simply. You've got a front suspension fork, which is going to give as you go over curbs or go over bumps. You've got front and rear disc brakes.
These are great Tektro disc brakes, one of the best disc brakes out there for a lot of e-bikes. They're going to stop on a dime on flat ground even coming down hills, no problem. Pull the brakes and they stop, and again, check out the other YouTube video of me. You can see a full riding demonstration where I walk you through... I don't walk you through, I ride you through everything and you'll see me using the full gamut of the features on this bike. In addition to that, you've got a seven-speed derailleur just like you'd have on a normal bike. So, as you're using Pedal Assist, you can use the gears. If you're taking on hills, you'd want to be in gear one. If you're going higher, faster, level five pedal assist, shift us into level seven and you can start to reach some high speeds.
You've got your display right here as well, which is nice, and centrally located. Going to tell you how fast you're going, how much battery life you have, and your total runtime, and you can turn that on and off. As you turn it on and off your display will come on and off and your pedal assist levels are changed right here with your left thumb. So, easy to get to and easy to change while you're riding.
Now the other cool thing is this bike is very adjustable. Raise and lower your seat here depending on how tall you are and you can come up here to the handlebars and raise and lower your handlebars. Both of these are quick-release options, okay? And clamp those down like that and it's beautiful. You can easily find and adjust for riders from five foot all the way up to six foot three. Find the desired height of the stem and the seat just by those quick adjustments there. So, Zip and Fold from sixthreezero. The most compact and powerful there is out there.
