Why are there so many different types of electric trikes? Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today we're going to talk about why there are so many different types of electric trikes. All right, I'm coming to you today from our headquarters in San Clemente, California. We've got most of our electric trikes here in the showroom. It's a rainy day outside, so not conducive to outdoor footage. So you can see all these different types of e-trikes here. Maybe you're out shopping, or maybe you already bought one and you're wondering why there are so many. Well, or maybe because there are so many, it's so hard to choose as well. So we've been doing electric trikes now for about five years and we get a lot of test riders coming here in San Clemente. And what's interesting is everybody has a different thought and feeling about all the different types. What I've noticed is that the use cases and the body types for all of these different trikes can vary so greatly. When you try to boil it down to one trike with one spec, it is hard to take into account all the different needs of all the different riders. Some riders need a bigger motor, some prefer smaller motors, some want a low step-through, and some want more of a recumbent style.
When you talk about wanting it to fit your body, there are also different geometries to choose from. So now you're talking about changing the geometry of the trike, changing the electronic specs of the trike. And honestly, it's hard to put together the perfect trike for every single rider. So, because there are just so many infinite combinations of how you could construct an electric tricycle. But there are a lot of different models out there. All of them offer something different, including all of the different models here at Sixthreezero. And we're really trying to target all the different use cases and body types, heavier riders, smaller riders, shorter riders, also off-road terrain, pavement terrain, people that might have hip injuries, knee injuries. So it runs the gamut. And I think also with electric trikes, something a little bit different than e-bikes, although similar, is that you're getting many different types of people dealing with many different types of physical impairments that are looking at electric trikes. So e-bikes, generally speaking, have a lot more able-bodied riders. When you talk about e-trikes, and now you've got somebody who maybe had knee surgery. Now, don't get me wrong, people with these physical impairments could also ride e-bikes, but on e-trikes, you're getting a lot of people who are also going from maybe a mobility scooter to an e-trike. So trying to accommodate all of those different physical conditions with e-trikes has expanded the different configurations, the different motor types, you name it. So you need to do your research and watch videos. We can also be here as a resource if you're out there looking at e-trikes and you want to find something right for your body.
I know, unfortunately, a lot of local stores don't carry a great selection of electric tricycles, so it's hard to get to experience all the different makes and models. Now, if you're local in Southern California, you can come here and test ride about eight or nine of them firsthand and see all the different setups, the motor sizes, and get a feel for what feels best for you. So any other questions on electric trikes at all, reach out to us, at theteam@sixthreezero.com or call us at 310-982-2877. In addition to that, we offer a 30-day test ride on your e-trike policy. If you don't love it in the first 30 days, send it back. No questions asked, no money out of your pocket. In addition to that, we're going to warranty everything for one year. If anything goes wrong in the first year, we'll take care of its parts and labor. Also, like I said, come out for a test ride. On a non-rainy day here in San Clemente, you can ride all of our e-trikes before you purchase. We're at 1046 Calle Rocoto, San Clemente, California, unit K. And lastly, join our community. We have a Facebook group called Sixthreezero Pedalers. There are thousands of members in the group. Join the group before you purchase to talk to existing riders to ensure that you're making the right choice. Then when you have yours, post in the group, make friends, and finally download the app to track your rides and compete on the leaderboard. So thanks for sticking around and don't forget, it's your journey or experience. Enjoy the ride.
