Best bicycle if you suffer from neuropathy. Hey everyone I'm Dustin I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. And today I'm going to show you some of the best bicycles, actually electric tricycles, if you suffer from neuropathy. I've got my helmet on here. I don't think I'll need that for the time being. So we have a lot of customers that come to us here at our corporate headquarters that are suffering from neuropathy. They either have tingling or pain in their feet or their hands, or they have muscle loss. Many times they're now afraid to be on a standard two-wheel bike or they just don't have the strength and the balance anymore to be upright on a two-wheel bike. So behind me, I've got an assortment of electric tricycles, which most people that come to us are looking at that are dealing with neuropathy, get into riding a three-wheel bike. Now, the reason I love an electric version of a three-wheel bike for someone with neuropathy is you have the option of utilizing the electric assist motor as you see fit. So on any given day, if you've got fatigue or muscle pain more than another day, you can utilize that assistance of the motor to help you get around town, get up hills, or where you're going. So you don't have to stay off your bike if you're having a particularly bad day with your symptoms. The benefit, again, is, that you can even not pedal if you so choose on some of these or all these electric trikes so you can get out and still be mobile. I think the cool thing about all these electric bikes is how it's opened the doors for so many people battling some sort of either physical ailment or disability that now they can get onto an e-bike and ride. So we just had a customer come here a couple of days ago, and he went with the Easy Transit. He's dealing with neuropathy. He is switching from a two-wheel e-bike to a three-wheel one because he wants to be more balanced and safe. So he opted for the easy transit over there. We also have a tutorial or demonstration of all these e-trikes with riders on there. So check it out on our YouTube channel as well.
I'll kind of run through here though and walk you through each of them and explain why they are good for someone if you're dealing with the symptoms of neuropathy. Now the EZ Transit is very low to the ground with these 16-inch wheels. Easy to get on and off. Also very nimble with the steering. It's a 750-watt front hub motor so it's very powerful. You can get up hills on it, you can get around town on it. It offers a throttle. So if you don't want to pedal at all, you can utilize that. It also has a reverse function. So if you may want to use this to get through shopping centers or in offices, wherever you're going, that reverse option is available. And that's cool as well. Now, moving on to this reverse e-trike. Now, this one's going to require the rider to hold the steering and steer to keep it balanced. But you've got the two wheels in front to help. This one has tilting steering, so it's going to take turns very sharply. Now, this would be for someone who probably doesn't have very extreme neuropathy symptoms but still has some muscle strength and ability to balance. Because with this one, you are going to have to hold the wheels, like I said, in place to keep it straight. Now, with that said, it does balance on its own. You have this basket option. So it depends on where you're at physically and how much balance you need out of the trike.
Now, this one is great. The Simple Glide has this office chair style. The cool thing about this one is you can flip the armrest up, and slide your feet off, and it's very easy to mount and dismount. You can see how I can get on. Then once I'm on, I can put the footrest. The other benefit of this one is you have a twist throttle. So again, if you want to do light pedaling, this is a cool option. It can be used as a mobility scooter as well. You can also pedal while you're riding. No problem. You can get the assistance and these handlebars can come right into the body and they're easily adjustable. All right, moving on here.
Now, this is our Rickshaw. Now, this is a great option. If you have someone, maybe a spouse or a partner that's dealing with neuropathy and they can in no way, shape, or form even get onto a bicycle. You can put them on the back here as a passenger and you can take them around. So it's a great way to have a loved one or spouse enjoy a bike ride with you that maybe they can't do on their own. We also have had some clients, we just posted a video as well, a woman who does have neuropathy and she bought this and is riding it and she loves it. She loves the four-inch tires and how balanced it is. And the thing she loves most is that she can take her grandkids on the back. So it makes her still feel energy and alive that she can do something physical with her grandkids. So comfortable. We've added our backrest here to this one in particular. This is an add-on you can purchase separately. So again, this is a great option as well.
And this is the Simple Step-Thru E-Trike. This one is cool because it has a very low step-through to get on and off. You can step through the frame. So if you have any restriction in mobility or a lot of pain in joints and lifting your leg and mounting and dismounting is something you're worried about, I'm going to go ahead and grab this one rolling away here. This makes it easy to get on and off. You got these four-inch tires which are very balanced, and stay grounded very nicely. This is a good option. You've also got these curved bars which keep the riders back upright, arms relaxed. And you've got the cargo basket in the rear as well. So good option there.
Lastly is the EvryJourney Tricycle. Now this is good if you want to go for those leisurely cruises around a neighborhood. Mounting and dismounting are easy. It's going to keep you in an upright riding position, ergonomic riding position, so you won't have any kinked wrists or kinked elbows, or your elbows will be bent, but like shoulder pain, back pain. It's nice to be in that upright ergonomic position so you can minimize any of that pain you may have in your wrists or any other extremities. So, the other thing about this one is this is 250 watts of power, so it's not going to be overly powerful, but it's enough to get you around town so you can feel safe on it if you want to go for cruises, like I said, in the neighborhood around town.
