These Could Be the Two Most Stable 3 Wheel EBikes: An Electric Tricycle Review

The two most stable electric tricycles on the market.

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. And today I'm gonna show you two of the most stable electric tricycles on the market. All right, so right here in front of me, I have the Easy Transit 750-watt Folding E-trike and the Evryjourney e-Rickshaw electric trike. Two of the most stable electric tricycles you're gonna find. Now, I've ridden thousands of electric tricycles, and all of that time and effort has gone into developing these two e-trikes specifically with stability in mind. One of the biggest concerns or worries around trikes or electric three-wheel e-bikes is the stability and tipping. Now, one thing I will say is the biggest way to avert tipping on an electric trike is to learn how to properly ride it and shift your body weight. But there are other features and elements that can go into an electric tricycle to add to the stability and safety of how it performs. Now, let me start with the folding EZ Transit. I'd also like to mention that if you want to see more specific videos about either of these, like test rides and reviews and other information, you can find them on our YouTube channel as well. Now, the EZ Transit, what makes this cool is the 16-inch wheels.

Now, Now, you are not going to find 16-inch wheels on any other electric trike that I've seen on the market. What it does is it keeps the center, keeps the trike very low to the ground in combination with the perfect rear width that we figured out, and keeps this e-trike very, very planted, and stable when riding. Now, a lot of times with higher tires, you're higher off the ground the weight of the rider obviously when you turn can make the trike unstable, creating more risk of tipping. Being this low to the ground keeps it very well planted. Like I said, the riders up here, even when turning, it's not going to be enough to lift the rear wheel back here as well. In conjunction with the length of the frame and how long we've made it, this is an e-trike and you can again check out the videos. You can take turns easily. You can steer easily, also with the rider being in a nice upright position. As you steer, the rear wheels keep to the ground very, very nicely. Now, these are 2.125-inch tires, not ultra-fat, but just wide enough where you've got a fair amount of rubber contacting the ground. Again, for a stable, easy ride, no risk of tipping. Now, let me move on here to the rickshaw. Now, different principles with the rickshaw. This is a little bit more compact of an e-trike, but you can still see we've got the the um chassis extends back here and we have it a little bit longer in the back back here just to keep it stable in the rear there as well.

Now we could have moved this forward a little bit if we wanted to and shortened the frame a little bit. But again, that added length back here adds to the stability to prevent tipping. Now the rickshaw is a completely different principle. This is geared toward passengers. And what's cool about this though, is you can ride it with or without passengers. You can remove the bench seat if you so choose. And this has a longer frame. So the length of it already out the gates keeps it stable. Now that's a benefit if you want to, again, take the passengers off. If you have passengers, it's even more stable because they're going to weigh down these two rear wheels, which is an added benefit as well. Designed with a longer frame and fat tires, four inches wide. It's got a 24-inch tire in the front and two 20-inch tires in the rear. It's set lower in the back, again, to add to the stability, and higher in the front. more of an angle down here to keep those tires planted on the ground. So when you take turns, you can ensure that the two rear wheels will stay planted on the ground. Now, there are also rear differentials. Neither of these tricycles have rear differentials on them. In my experience, and I just made another video about it, rear differentials aren't going to add to the stability of an e-trike. They are going to add to the traction, but what you're concerned about on a trike is tipping.

And a differential isn't going to help significantly with tipping or not tipping a trike because tipping has to do more with the weight transfer. And what is going to prevent tipping is number one, how the rider rides the trike, and number two, the geometry and the setup of the trike. And that's why we've taken the approach of the rear wheels, like on the rickshaw, the rear wheels being smaller in the rear, and on the EZ Transit lengthening that back just a little bit with the 16-inch wheels add to stability. So it's those small microgeometrical changes that add a tremendous amount of more stability to the electric trike. Now if you want to see more details like I said and you can see specifically how nimble, how easy both of these e-trikes turn, check out our YouTube channel. There are way more details on them. If you have any other questions, you can reach out to us at theteam@sixthreezero.com or call us at 310-982-2877. And both of these are going to be linked in the description below. You can find them on the sixthreezero website if you want to learn more and also find out how much they cost. In addition to that, we have a 30-day test ride on your electric trike policy. If you don't love it in the first 30 days, send it back. No questions asked, no money out of your pocket. In addition to that, we're going to warranty everything for the first year. If anything goes wrong in the first year, don't send it back. We'll take care of parts and labor to ensure you can keep riding.

Now, lastly, we have a Facebook group called sixthreezero Pedalers with thousands of members in it. And you can pop in there and ask them questions about which trike was right for them before you purchase. Then when you have yours, you can post in the group, and make friends. It's tons of fun. Lastly, you can download our app. track your rides, and compete on the leaderboard. That is a lot of fun as well. So thanks for sticking around and don't forget, it's your journey, your experience. Enjoy the ride.
