ULTIMATE BIKE SEAT COMFORT: A Tricycle Seat with Backrest That is Unbelievably Comfortable!

All right, so you're in the market or you're riding a tricycle and you've decided that you want something with a backrest. I understand. Having a backrest is awesome, gives you support on the low or mid back, just adds to the comfort, and takes tension and pressure off your muscles so you don't have to support your full back being upright for long rides.

I've got Stella with me here today and Arden, they're going to demonstrate and show how they look while sitting on this seat.

Now, just to tell you a little bit about it, you've got the backrest here, but this is also a 14-and-a-half-inch wide seat. In my experience, this is one of the widest seats I've seen on the market, especially resembling a normal seat shape. Now that's the key. We tried to design something here that has a backrest, has a lot of widths... let me go ahead and bring this up... but it still looks good.

You can also see it's got the winged sides here to give support on the edges of your leg and your rear, which makes it really, really comfortable. There's the side profile.

Now our standard seat, which is still oversized, is nine and a half inches wide, and this is five inches wider than that. And this is truly, truly a great tricycle seat option with a backrest if you want to be in a very relaxed position. Now, we've got this installed right now on our EZ Transit Folding Electric Trike, and we're going to show you how comfortable our riders are and how ergonomic and relaxed the seat can put you in when you install it on your trike, or you can put it on this trike. It's a universal seat that could be installed on any e-trike or tricycle for adults.

All right, Stella, why don't you go first?

All right. Now, I know Stella loves this seat because we've done a lot of videos with her, but you can see she's got the handlebars right here and she's leaning back just a touch. And this is giving her that support right here. We've got the seat all the way up on the support in the back. You can lower it if you so choose. She likes it up all the way, but you can see it keeps her posture good, which is going to be good for her back while she's riding, she won't have pain. In addition to that, just go ahead and release the brakes, and I'll position you. Now, I'll show you what she looks like from the back and why a lot of riders are going to love this seat.

All right, so looking at her from the back here, you can see she's got the support. Oops, sorry. She's got the support here. Now when you look down here as well, look how it covers the entire width of her rear, and it's keeping her supported up. If she had a narrower seat, she's going to be hanging off the edges of it, the seat's going to be cutting into her, and it's going to cause pain for her when she's riding, right?

The other thing too is by having the little lip on the sides here, it's cradling her butt and it's cradling up, which again is just giving that added support and adding to the comfort. And I've asked you 100 times, but tell me again. Do you like the seat?

Stella: I like the seat because it encourages good posture.

Dustin: Good posture. Yeah. Okay, cool. Arden, do you want to hop on now as well?

Arden: Sure.

Dustin: So Stella's 5'7", 250. Arden is 5 '10 ", 300. Now Arden too, you can see the seat goes out the entire width. Now imagine if he was on a nine-inch or eight-inch seat. Again, how little that would be for his needs. And again, you like the backrest, right?

Arden: Love it.

Dustin: Yep, and we've got it all the way up. And again, keeping support for him, keeping him upright, and yeah, that extra width. Now, the extra width is still going to allow him to pedal and it's not going to cut off his leg. Now you've ridden this, right, and you don't feel restricted at all, right?

Arden: Not at all. Not at all.

Dustin: Yeah. All right, now let's get the side shot here. Now, same thing, you can see he's getting the support here, he's upright, and I will say too, our folding EZ Transit is a comfortable bike overall too, or trike because you can adjust it and dial it in.

But yeah, you've got the backrest there, you've got the seat there. It is a great tricycle seat with a backrest option if that's what you need.

Also, I'm biased, but aesthetically it's going to look like a seat. It's not going to take away from the look of your trike or even our SixThreeZero trike. We went with the brown option because we wanted something that would have a classier appeal and look really cool. It's got detailed stitching.
